• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Only 11 days to go... the countdown continues.

Anna Marie Hofstetter

Hofstetter is one of the most technically skilled players on the team. She has earned All-Conference Academic Honors for the last two years, and shows her intelligence on the field as well as in the classroom. Her obvious talents have resulted in Hofstetter starting every game for her first two years at ISU. In fact, Hofstetter is the only player under Coach Gibson to start every game as a freshman.

One of Hofstetter’s great talents is her ability to see the field and play the ball where it will do the most damage. This ability lead to six assists last season and ten in her freshman year. Already, she is the ISU record holder for number of assists in a career, and only needs six more assists in the next two year to hold the record for the Big Sky Conference. What makes Hofstetter’s accomplishment of six goals last year even more impressive is that it was done in a year when the ISU offense was last in the Big Sky conference play in scoring.

Not only is Hofstetter an offensive force, she is extremely talented at controlling the midfield and is a key to the defensive strength of the Bengals. She has an uncanny ability to assess the threats of the opposition and to be in position before the play ever develops. As the tallest ISU player on the field, Hofstetter also uses her size to great advantage and often intimidates smaller midfielders. On top of it all, Hofstetter has a great leg and appears to be able to move the ball great distances with pinpoint accuracy. Look to Anna Marie Hofstetter to remain one of the team leaders on the field this year.

Just a note, Hofstetter is like three assists away from the ISU career record...she's close, but not quite there yet.
