Re: Concessions FAIL

I just snuck in a Betos burrito and a bottle of water. It's one of the benefits of cold weather games with coats and all. Problem solved for me. Plus the Betos burrito provides lasting gastro-intestinal heat that lasts for 6-8 hours.  Only 6-8?? Wow!! You must be immune to the colon sl...

Re: #RoadtoReno - Funny Stuff

It has been a little amusing to go back and read this after two years. It is like we had a crystal ball and could see into the future.

Re: Big Sky Tournament Moving?

Scot should talk to a Reno councilperson. I'm sure they were saying some of the same things a few years back. I thought the exact same thing. Totally what I thought as well. Remember all of the awesome promotional things Reno did the first year: The draft to see what fan bases would stay in what ho...

Re: BIG SKY JOKER RANKINGS: First week of league play

These ranking were a joke! The #1 ranked SUU Tbirds get dump trucked by the #12 ranked Sac State Hornets The #2 raked Idaho State Bengals get edged out by the number #9 ranked Cubbies The #3 ranked Aggies didn't look like they belonged on the same field as the #4 ranked WSU Wildcats The only game wh...

Re: Priorities for the 13th Grant

Has Brenden Morris been awarded the 13th grant? I don't think so, but why do you ask? There really is no rush to fill it and it would be a little cruel to grant it and then have to take it away in 8 months. Unless it was like the Brown kid a few years back. He had a real financial hardship situatio...

Re: Gonzaga guard considering Weber State

So all this hesitation is making me wonder if this kid is really going to be graduated this Summer and eligible to play this next season? I say we bring back George Darling for another year to have another opportunity of a lifetime.

And the band kid is still waiting and hoping that he has a shot with the hot cheerleader to prom. But time is running out and the flowers are wilting!

Schedule is out. As usual, it totally blows. 4 nonD1 homes games, including the exhibition game. https://weberstatesports.com/news/2017/7/7/wsu-announces-2017-18-mens-basketball-schedule.aspx :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: Is this going to be the worst strength of schedule rating in Webe...

Re: Gonzaga guard considering Weber State

I'm wondering if Alberts is waiting until after July 1 to see if any "bigger" programs have roster spots available, or he might be working really hard this Summer to finish classes so that he can transfer to another program. Personally, I just don't see any other option but Weber out of the three s...

Re: D1 Transfers

E. Gittens and Cannon are still in Ogden. If you can't find anyone else, why waste a scholarship when you have two guys who are leaving your program, that you know are proven DI commodities? Also, why bring in a 5th year guy who isn't far and away better than Gittens or Cannon? Gittens is gone gone...

Re: Losing a Coach to BSU

I know that coach Moats was given more responsibilities each year that he was here. The reality of the situation is that you must move around a bit to move up in the D1 coaching ranks. It sounds like he will have the same title at BSU, but may make a bit more money. The next move he will make is to...

Re: 2017-18 Mins distribution

Question: Baker was one of the best 3-point shooters in the country last year and was vital to the resurgence in the Big Sky tournament, all while playing out of position. I'm curious why you're cutting his minutes. I really like Dusty as well. He is the type of blue collar, get the job done guy th...

I've heard previous attempts by media members to join conversations on this board weren't well received by you old-timers, but I'm going to try anyway. Hey guys! Come on Brett, we all know it was just Garside. 1. He is MUCH better doing video work and podcasts than as a journalist. Weber State writ...

So, what's the next step? Any news? We have an open scholarship. What is the next step by Rahe? A. Bring in a JUCO? B. Bring in a Transfer? C. Bring in a 5th year guy? D. Bring in another FR for 2017 -2018? E. Hold onto the Scholarship for Fall for a 2018 Signee? Sign George Darlings dad if has any...

Re: D1 Transfers

Interesting Hawkeye, that Darling and Stavrev played 2 years apart at Meyerscough. Stavrev came to WSU in 2015-16 school year and Darling in the 2016-17 school year. By my math (which admittedly is lacking) that puts them one year apart at Meyerscough. Maybe you have some info that I am not privy t...

Re: D1 Transfers

This is Division 1 basketball, not Country Hills Ward church basketball . So what if a player is told he is probably not going to play much the next year and would probably be best at a different school. I'm sure the coaches are straight up with the players and help them find a good situation. We h...

Re: D1 Transfers

I agree that we need to wait and see with the new guys. But we pretty much know what we have with Dallas. I know you can't coach height, but low motor guys usually don't develop into high motor guys. If he was a high motor guy he likely wouldn't be at Weber State. You are 100% right that we were giv...
