Anyone else wish they'd start playing the WSU/SUU game the last week of the season? If that game were today it'd be epic.

(Raises hand) Me!!!
About the time you get that set up, ISU would be on the upswing and SUU would be back down in the cellar where they belong.

Re: The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase

From the box score, it looks like we did everything well except take care of the ball. We had 18 turn overs and that cost us the game. Still it was a good game against very good competition.

On to the next.

Yes. That SUU/NAU game should be intense.

Re: 2017 FCS Playoff Projection 10/29

NAU will be highly, highly motivated to win at SUU Saturday. If they were to lose, there is a good chance that they would be left out of post season play. An NAU loss opens the door for UM and maybe even EWU and SacSt. A SUU loss does not do the same for them. They are likely in, regardless. I'm sur...

Re: 2017 FCS Playoff Projection 10/29

Any guesses as to why Weber (8-2/6-1) has led and continues to lead SUU (8-2/6-1) in both polls? I haven't understood that for much of the season. It's not tough to see that SUU is legit and questionable call or not, the Thunderturds beat the Wildkitties decisively H2H, in Ogden no less. I think an...

Re: Bahamas Showcase field

A few years ago, pressing us was effective. Last year, teams stopped doing it so much. Primarily because we were getting dunks off the other teams press. The only concern I have about getting pressed is the number of freshmen we have in the rotation. They are a bit less battle tested. One thing that...

Re: West Coast Baptist: 2017 Edition

Red shirting are Anton, Cody, and the other three walk ons. Obviously, Morris is playing. Cody's back injury will keep him out the rest of the season and Anton just needs a year of development. Anton may have been able to provide some depth this year, but with Jordan returning he can save a year and...

They must be counting all season tickets, plus students and walk up attendees.

Re: Big Sky Attendance 2017

Well, ours should take a nose dive after tonights game. Not by much cause we tend to report 5 - 6K even on the non D1 games when you know there is not more than 3,000 people in the arena. Have them announce over the PA that you will be walking around counting everyone, and could the audience please...

Re: West Coast Baptist: 2017 Edition

Well, we all got to see our freshmen for an extended amount of time. For much of the time, there were 4 freshmen on the floor at the same time. Kozak came out of his shell a bit and Ary-Turner showed what he can do. Doc had his moments. Court showed flashes of what he will become. It was a good, no ...

Re: West Coast Baptist: 2017 Edition

I'm fairly sure that all non-red shirting, uninjured, players will see significant playing time tonight. The starters will get enough time to keep the rust off and that is all. I think that Randy should have 9 or 10 players available to him and they all should get significant time. We only had 8 hea...

Re: Match Ups from around the Big Sky

You'd think Idaho would at least have a temp floor they could lay down there. Why can't they use the floor that they have in the kibble dome? Kind of funny their fans think they should be in an fbs conference and that is their basketball Arena. That can't possibly be their basketball arena. It has ...

Re: Match Ups from around the Big Sky

UI is beating up on George Fox. It would probably be a better game if George would have brought more of his friends along. I can't believe NAU lost to that team. When I turned it on, NAU was up 22-7. Really poor quality streaming coming out of NAU. UI's gym looks like a Jr High gym. So many lines, y...

Re: Who had the better trick play, Southern Utah or Weber State?

In the Football Dictionary, under YAC, it will now show a video of that catch and run. It may also be shown for the definition of BYOB. I love that clip and play. Somebody asked about a lineman's eligibility to be a receiver. A lineman can be eligible if they are in an eligible position and ha...

Everything I have seen so far tells me that I was completely wrong in my evaluation of our new Wildcat Club Director. Looks to me like he is doing everything the right way and is very progressive in his approach. I apologize. I am eating all of my words right about now, and they don't taste good. :n...

Re: UC Davis and Cal Poly

The Big Sky had zero leverage, the WAC was courting both Montana's and even Poly, Davis and even Portland. The Big Sky had to make a move quick and told Poly and Davis they could join. Poly and Davis both said no unless they were allowed to stay in the Big West for hoops. The Big Sky consented. Its...

Re: Match Ups from around the Big Sky

The Big Sky is off to a decent start this year. I thought I would start a thread to talk about the non conference games in the conference. Tonight we have 4 games against D1 competition: Montana @ Pittsburgh - The Griz are 3 point under dogs. This would be a big win for the conference UC Davis @ No...
