CAUSEWAY WEEK: (RV) Sac State (7-4, 5-2 BSC) @ #15 UC Davis (7-3, 5-2 BSC)

BM really doesn’t understand talent. He lets Conklin, scudero, n jackson, etc GO and then puts in Williams who isn’t a good d1 qb, #3, #12, #10 didn’t do one thing this whole season. Just embarrassing to have a big fat/slow dline that couldn’t do anything against the pass, yet all your hear is about their stats, f^*k the stats. Just a really bad season.

27-31 Hornet loss in the Causeway. Entertaining game to watch, Hornets had a slow start and overcame it. Unfortunately Coach Marion threw the ball too many times in the 4th quarter and it cost the Hornets the win. Folks will say the missed extra point was the cause, but the Hornets had a chance to put the game away in the 4th quarter and went away from their strength. The Hornets had anpother chance to win on the final possession but couldn't get it done.

7 wins is a big improvement from an awful season ago, but the expectations were higher. We'll see where this program goes from here but nothing but uncertainty awaits.

Stingers Up!

I don’t get how OC Merch, HC BM won so much at UNLV, it’s like it didn’t have anything to do with them because UNLV kept winning without them

I mean, we won seven games with absolutely zero ability to throw the football this year. Like literally zero. And had an FBS upset in the bag. There were many critical decisions made throughout the year that left us scratching our heads, but overall our ability to absolutely dominate in the run game was impressive.

Now, I just hope there is a plan for quarterback and that our 4 star WR commit doesn’t run for the hills!

Very Frustrating way to finish the year. All the hype caused the feeling early on that this would be special. But the thing that killed those chances in my opinion was the Jaden Rashada thing and letting Conklin go. We had no passing game all year. Williams is a good run option but this could have been special if the passing game was any good. Some bad coaching in my opinion also at 750k a year you should know to punt on 4th in your own territory in a game of this magnitude. Then to make the same decision again later on 4th and 8 I believe was just bad to me.

With all the hype during the offseason about a stadium and the move up to not even make the playoffs makes the program look bad. I hope they figure it all out next year im still pulling for them.

Sac running game was punishing. 65 rushes and TOP 35 minutes.

The 2 turnovers by Davis kept the Hornets around. Davis has had issues finishing and running up the margin of victory all season.

Great crowd from Sac today- always great to see the opposing band in a rivalry game.

QB issue needs to be addressed over there- 3/9 for 17 yards and an INT is embarrassing and may have been a major difference in the game.

TBH, if the core underclassmen return (big overhauls don’t work quickly). And they find some more games on the schedule, they could be a upper tier FCS and mid tier G6 FBS

I don't quite follow the Conklin narrative and I was a big Conklin fanboi. I mean, wasn't it just a year ago that most of the folks on this board wanted to run him out of town due to ball security issues? And now those same people think we should have had a QB with ball security issues leading a run heavy offense?

I'm not seeing how having a QB that wasn't a viable run threat put up better numbers for this offense unless the plan was to rotate QBs for specific plays...but even Bobby wasn't willing to do that when he was calling the plays so not sure why that is being brought up at this point. The Conklin talk is a total red herring.

We'll see how the offseason shakes out and who is still here when the dust settles, but moving forward I'm not worried about this program continuing to build off of the season if Coach Marion is still here.

We kept winning after Troy left, so by this logic Troy had nothing to do with our success.

This take is so absurd that it made my fingers hurt when I typed it up.

Easy OG. We didn’t beat a team with a winning record, and we had a bad home loss to cal poly, and Davis was supposed to be the less rested team coming back from Bozeman Sunday but Sac St looked like the more tired team at the end. So just some venting because there was arrogance this year we can’t deny, underestimated timing to build chemistry, the dominant teams always having strong returning cores each year
