Hornets in the Pros 01-06 NOV

MBT sat out the last game, but led the CFL in TD passes (26) and stood third in passing yardage (4,024). He was fourth with 13 picks. Brandon Smith had two tackles in a season-ending 21-16 win at B.C. He and his Calgary Stampeders face Winnipeg (the Blue Bombers had Charles Roberts for a LONG time) ...

Re: The Backup QB Situation

I'm more of the opinion that if Thomson is available, he starts all three remaining games, and in the easy ones, comes out after a series or two, particularly if we jump out to a big lead. Maybe a bit longer against the Manure Pile due to the rivalry factor, but we MUST get Thomson back in the saddl...

Re: Week 10 - Sac State vs Weber State

I'm not sure I wanna read too much into Dunniway's poor performance. The radio commentators (even with one out and subbed for by Joe Davidson of the Bee) were MUCH better than the TV crew (Garcia STILL whomps), and stated that Dunniway was likely affected by rust and nerves, not to mention a group o...

Re: Dotson Named POW!

I didn't mean to say definitively that you were wrong, BHF. You have some good reasoning there. I happen to be biased for QBs, given that my two favorite male football players (Danny White and Jim Plunkett) were both QBs (or, in White's case, a QB-P). I really like what Thomson's doing now that he's...

Hornets in the Pros 24-31 OCT

MBT still doing well...sort of. He's in a three QB rotation, of which former Kitty QB Dakota Prukop is in the mix. He HAS thrown for 4K+ this season.... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EH1atlfWkAId39u?format=jpg&name=small Todd Davis is kicking shell in Denver...even if the team sort of isn't.... De'And...

Re: Week 9 - Sac State @ Cal Poly (Green and Gold Game Edition)!

BHF: Given the failures of modern offenses at the goal line, I've been considering resurrecting the Notre Dame Box inside the five. The extra blocking power would more than make up for the lack of room for receivers to run routes the closer one gets to the goal line....

Re: POLLS (STATS & Coaches)

GAS: Just looked up Kennesaw's schedule. It's even worse than we thought. They have ONE FBS game, and that a loss to 3-5 Kent State, hardly comparable to Fresneck AND Danny White University. In FCS OOC play, they have wins against Alabama State and SW Missouri State, both of whom have losing records...

Dotson Named POW!

19-176 on the ground with 3 TDs. 5-50 to lead all Hornet receivers. 226 all-purpose yards. https://d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/d/z/q25oqqzubz4tv0/DotsonAOTW102819Web.jpg http://www.hornetsports.com/sports/fball/2019-20/releases/20191028nbri42?fbclid=IwAR2oTk-Mqmg8cOakc5Chr6eGN5V6ROxO1HaQOvDry5yj_M...

Re: Week 10 - Sac State vs Weber State

Weber State runs multiple single back formations. They are a run first offense that looks to ground and pound behind their big OL with a gadget play mixed in every so often I'm not a fan of running out of ace back formations. Perhaps I'm a bit too old school for today's game, but that's true of man...

Re: Week 9 - Sac State @ Cal Poly (Green and Gold Game Edition)!

BHF: Just looked that up. I love the concept. A two-level read to the strongside with a replacement crossing route over the Y line, with a backside fade to boot. I'd like that a bit more with a strongside roll, but perhaps Gruden doesn't think there'd be enough time for that inside the five....

Womens Soccer Hits Milestone

The Hornets (10-1-6, 4-0-4 BSC) took out Idalol (4-12-2, 1-5-2 BSC) 1-0 in double OT yesterday. The goal came with 44 seconds left in the second OT. Midfielder Samantha Craig called her own shot before bagging that goal. Sac now has a Big Sky-record 16 match unbeaten streak. Wow! Sac's only loss cam...
