0 DI OOC Wins

I don't foresee the team winning a single DI ooc game in 2019-20. There are only 3 chances left, Utah, BYU and UVU.

In our 55 year history we have had just 1 season where we didn't beat a fellow DI in the ooc portion of the schedule. It was in 1987 when Larry Farmer finished 7-22 which is the worst season WSU has ever had. He went 4-10 in Big Sky play.

Before hiring Rahe, Weber had had 8 losing seasons in its 42 year history. No coach survived back-to-back losing seasons (Huston/Farmer). Now that we have completed 55 seasons we have had 9 losing seasons. Rahe's only actual terrible year was 2015, one year removed from the big dance and a BSC title. The 2015 team went 13-17, 8-10 with 3 DI OOC wins (UVU, Oral Roberts, Nevada).

I feel depressed starting this thread and realizing...at least thus far that this season is looking historic or potentially historic. Cravens' final year before getting fired he went 10-17 & 4-10 with DI ooc wins against Boise St, SUU, UVU & Fort Wayne.

Scheduling hasn't been in the favor of 2019-20 having just 1 DI ooc home game but its not the reason we are 0-5.

Unless a miracle happens next Wednesday, this will be the second time in the basketball teams history that we don't beat a DI in the OOC. I really don't see the Cats beating BYU in Provo; especially after last years win here. And I'm thinking Utah is going to run us out of the building in Salt Lake.

I don’t see any wins, too. I guess when you consider this part of the schedule the preseason like Rahe does, then the apathy crosses over to the players.

Time to water down the non conference schedule some more. Maybe schedule some local church teams. Glad they don’t play Dixie State this year. It’s bad enough as it is already.

Unless a Go Fund Me is started up to buy out Rahe’s contract, this is Wildcat Basketball for the foreseeable future.
