Agreed, a tough win versus a quality NAIA opponent. Caught the last 8:00 on the radio...sounds like both teams struggled from the floor and EOU made a killing at the FT line. Curious to see the box score to get an idea of positives and not so positives. For anyone who watched it live or online, please share your thoughts about the game.

The final score was a lot closer than I expected. ISU's defense came through in the end (5-second violation)...couldn't tell if the last few defensive stops created the EOU turnovers or if they were unforced.

Enjoy it for a day and get ready for the Warriors of Hawai'i.

From home, this is John Clayton, BengalDen.com :D

Demetrius Monroe is a MAN. 14 points, 12 boards, 3 blocks, 2 steals. GREAT GAME.

Lucas Steijn no slouch either: 16 points, 9 boards, 4 assists. SOLID.

Down the stretch, O'Brien went with the 5 guys who have played together the longest: Steijn, Monroe, Stucki, Morgan and Carson.

Bay and Caspari did not make major contributions in this game. I am confident that will change as they get more game experience playing together with the core 5 mentioned above.

Bay, in particular, was not himself. 0 for 4 from the 3-point range, one of his strengths. I wonder if his ribs are still bothering him?

Caspari WILL contribute in a big way once he gets it rolling. He is a rebounding machine.

So it's on to Hawaii now - glad to get this one under our belts!

Go BENGALS !!
