actually after our first 14 games we will still have played 0 vs top 4
after this weekend 10 of our 14 games played will have been against the bottom 5
unc is the only sky team we have played that currently has a winning record
our 4 final games will be the our toughest games against the best teams.

ewu - 4th
ui - 3rd
@um - 1st
@msu

due to the lame scheduling this was maybe our easiest route to winning a reg season title. the only way it could have been any better is playing the lone games against the montanas at home :lol:

That is somewhat true of UM's schedule as well. I'm glad they are going to a full schedule after next season. This idea of playing 4 teams only once each year is just not fair competition.

I don't think they are even looking at who might be stronger or weaker when they are putting a schedule together. I think they just throw the schedule out there and let the dust settle however it will.

Think about how UI feels. They only play us and ISU on the road. They could lose both of those games and end up out of the top 4. This weekend and the next will go a long way in determining the seeding in Reno.

Maybe the reason they are in the top 4 is BECAUSE we haven't played them yet. Maybe they would have a couple more losses if we had. :-D

:rofl:

that is a good point...it would explain why unc isn't in the top four...yet. idaho has yet to play weber or griz and only plays both once.

I absolutely hate this schedule. If nothing else, I am really glad that UND is leaving so that the Sky can get back to playing everyone twice a year.

Unfortunately it won’t be happening next year. I am hearing the conference is considering some “split week” scheduling, where teams play one home game and one road game in the same week, to accommodate the odd number of teams in the league after North Dakota leaves. That will be funky.
