DJ and PK are broadcasting until 10 in the student union. If your around campus stop by and thank them for supporting and covering Weber. They are also giving away prizes including a Rahe signed basketball and Hill signed football.

Great opportunity for WSU Athletics having 1280 on campus today. Coach Hill, AD Bovee, and Coach Rahe all got interviewed. I really enjoyed each interview and feel that each person did a good job of explaining where Weber State Athletics is currently, and their respective area of emphasis. Liked what Bovee said about enjoying the moment and I thoroughly agree. As fans, lets really enjoy where we are at and have fun. It isn't too often that WSU Football is competing for a conference crown in November. Are we worried about losing Jay? Sure...he is a heck of a good coach, but lets worry once we get to that bridge. I'm sure the AD is doing what he can to entice Coach Hill to stay at Weber.

As for Randy...I really liked what he said about the current state of NCAA Basketball, and the issues with institutional cheating. He framed his argument quite well without pointing a finger at the NCAA. He pretty much said that teams with money get away with breaking the law, whereas, teams that barely break a recruiting violation end up getting the book thrown at them. I think it is time for the NCAA to be cleaned up. Most of the issues stem from their inability to limit corruption at P5 schools. Look at UNC...need I say more. An institution who was cheating for their students for almost 30 years and nothing. I doubt anything will happen to those programs who laundered money, committed fraud, and extorted funds to buy players. Taking bribes from shoe companies and bribing AAU coaches...the schools will throw the coaches involved under the bus and the NCAA won't do anything to the offending schools. Pathetic...Yes, UNCO commits violations and gets the book thrown at them (they did deserve it, but why do they only get punished when other schools broke the law). Loved Randy standing up for college basketball and fair play. I'm sure the NCAA will be looking for something to hit him with in the future.

Here is Randy's interview on 1280 The Zone.
