it is also the first yr we have had 12 teams but still, 4 winning 20 is pretty cool. Sac is hosting NAU tonight in the CIT so one of them will get another win over the 20 mark with another shot in a few days again.
2015: ewu 26 wins, sac 21, nau & griz 20.
20 win teams per season in Big Sky history:
0 20 win teams: 5
1: 26
2: 13
3: 8
4: 1
The 5 seasons with 0 20 win teams were: 1964, 1972, 2004, 2005, 2014. From 1964-68 the sky only played 25-27 games each. Big Sky tourney didn't start until 1976. In 1972 WSU had 18 wins and only played 29 games even including the NCAA tourney appearance.
Years BSC had 3 teams win 20:
1983: Weber/UM/UI
1985: Nevada/UM/Weber
1989: Boise St/ISU/UM
1993: UI/Boise St/Weber
1995: Weber/UM/MSU
1996: MSU/Weber/UM
2010: Weber/UNC/UM
5 out of the 8 had Weber and Griz both.
If you can have 3-4 good teams out of 12 and play 18 conf games maybe 3-4 20 win teams could become common. Also having a couple teams get in the CIT also could make a difference.
