The UOP board is reporting that the loss of two scrubs from last year has prompted Coach Brian Katz to dip into the Delta well for two replacements. Sounds like a good idea to me. An opportunity presents itself, go with what you know.
 
Looks like he also picked up a guard, Domineek Daniel, from Barstow JC. He spent his freshman year at University of Santa Clara, but then left when Dick Davey left. Looks like a decent player. Maybe they will do better than 3-24 afterall, possibly 5-22.

That makes me happy. I spent a couple of years in Barstow and still have friends there.

While I'm not predicting conference title, I think that Katz is going to get more than 5 wins out of these guys. Perhaps 10-12. Katz is better than 5 wins even if he gets 10-12 jabronis from campus.
 
I was joking with the 5 wins. I am happy with the coach selection and I think he is going to get this program going. With regards to Daniels, he is certainly athletic. I found a video of him on youtube.
