2 out of 3 on the Road

It was too bad we lost tonight but any team in this league should be somewhat pleased taking 2 out of 3 on the road in such a competitive league with quite a bit of parody. That's tough to do in any conference. We've been pretty spoiled this year but Sac St. is a very solid team. Nothing to be ashamed of with this loss. Long season.

You're absolutely right when you say we have to win our home games. We have a very tough one coming up this Thursday against Northern Col. I will see you all there! If we can win all our home games (maybe slip at home once) there's no reason why we shouldn't be hosting the Big Sky Tourney this year and that should be the short term goal for this team. I like the fact that we will get Sac St. at home later on and hopefully we have a healthy Venky by then. With the students back, and a healthy Venky, I like our chances there. We have 7 remaining home games and 6 remaining road games. If we can win 3 to 4 of those road games I think we can host the tourney if we defend our home court. It's going to be tough to win at Montana and at Weber but this team is definitely capable of doing so. Some tough remaining home games too. I just have a feeling that nobody in this league is going to have an easy ride down the stretch. Too many teams capable of beating each other up. I think a 14 - 4 league finish will win the league outright this year and a 13 - 5 finish could earn some teams a tie for first and a tiebreaker scenario would probably determine which team will host the tourney. So, all that being said I'm hoping we can finish the regular season with at least a 4 - 2 road record with maybe one slip up at home.
