Great schedule from Katz! Hosting George Washington at home! Nice!

I'll have more thoughts later, battery running out!

What a great schedule...and to get someone like GWU to come to the Nest is a huge coup for Katz. Can't wait for their season to begin, as well as football's this Saturday.

Interesting quick turnaround in late Dec. Home for GW, at SUU, home for UOP, all in the span of about a week.

IMO, the genius of scheduling GW is more than outweighed by the presence of two cr@p teams on the schedule. Even given rebuilding mode, why do we want the presence of a glorified JC and a school that can't win a football conference title from a 4-6 team? I'd rather play Grambling or Southern than play those nincompoops.

What are you talking about SH? Grambling or Southern??? This is basketball dude. Who are the two teams you say are crap? What glorified JC? This is the best schedule this team has faced in a long, LONG time. Nobody but Div. I schools (Thank God, Katz knows how to schedule!).

SH... You're confusing me too... If anyone is a glorified JC... It's US! 0 Players straigt out of H.S. (I believe Randy Adams went to a prep academy post H.S.)

It's not that long since Utah Valley State was a JuCo.

Grambling and Southern are fairly decent in hoops, though not to the level they hold in football. My point was that UVSC is just a JC in a 4-year school's sheep's clothing and that SUU doesn't belong on the same field/court with us after that AWC debacle.

That's all I'm trying to say. Sure, the schedule's pretty good, and Katz is going to do a great job with it. I just think it could be a bit better if we could replace those two games that have no business there.

Um, don't know if you've checked, but they are now a full-fledged university now. They also have been playing D-I ball for several years. They are pretty good...enough that Ronnie Price went there.

I don't really thing, no offense, you know much about this program, especially in the last several years. I have pretty much been at every home game for the last 15 years.

SUU beat us last year...we were BAD. The last two years, we have not been a good program. And it showed Jerome the door. Stop going back and talking about the old American West Conference. That was well over 10 years ago now.......

Very impressive facilities! This is an up and coming school and if it weren't for UTVA not having a football team, they'd probably be in the Big Sky. They have a much better arena, duh, and their baseball park has a real pressbox and lights.

They are also building a new $1.2M track facility.

I love this schedule. Not a gauntlet, not cupcake. I'm excited for the return of Jarred Barrett when UVSU comes to town!

Barrett is a great guy. According to their website he's still with Utah Valley so it will be weird seeing him sit on the visitor's bench...
