This really rubs me and many other WSU fans the wrong way by not having SUU on the schedule for the second year in a row.

SUU is a better rivalry than ISU. At least SUU can beat us in football.

Dixie State, are you kidding me? What was Weber High busy that day? I agree with bobandwaldo where is SUU? Am I really supposed to get excited for Montana-Western and Dixie as our 2 non-conf. home games ? Sure SUU isn't very good right now but its still draws my intrest more than Dixie. What a joke.

I agree, I like watching the Weber SUU game, it actually feels like a rivalry, but then again it is nice to have two guarantee wins to go with our two losses.

As it looks, I will be at 10 of WSU's 12 football games. I don't think I will make it to Suckramento or to NAU. And asuming the price of aluminum doesn't drop then my side job of picking up cans on the side of the freeway should pay for mine and my wife's trip to the Hawaii game. ALOHA!!

Not sure if this will matter or not but Hawaii's coach took of to Dallas to make 10 million next year!

Go SMU Mustangs!

I don't think that it will make a lot of difference. The backup QB for H looked pretty good in the bowl disaster.

Weber should be playing SUU every year. Freak... SUU should be in the Sky. I'd rather have SUU in the Sky than UNC, or the other teams being looked at for possible expansion. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I have heard that North Dakota, Cal Poly, UC Davis, and South Dakota are all being looked at as possible additions to the Sky. Where is SUU?? I'd love to have SUU a part of the Sky not only would Weber have the ISU rivalry in conference, but the SUU rivalry would rock. The Centrum and their football stadium are already better than PSU's, EWU's, SAC's, and UNC's combined Basketball and Football venues.. WTF Doug Fullerton!!

Oh, I think we have an excellent shot at winning the Sky next season. I like the schedule, even though we are playing Dixie... Maybe that was suppose to be a BYE week... It's better to play someone rather than to scrimmage. I think Weber will beat Dixie by 50pts.

SUU will get shot down by Montana and Mt. State. I don't know what they have against the T-Birds, but why would they vote for UNC and not SUU??

the craptanas want to be the only state with two teams and they are stupid. northern col is only in because of altitude tv. no nc bears, no altitude.

suu is alrady better than psu and sacramento by playing in an arena bigger than a junior high school.

i dont think uc-davis cares to join since they just got in the big west, cal poly joined as well in 2001, im not sure if they care about football that much. plus they are baseball schools too. the big west is actually good at something - baseball. they haven't been anygood at basketball for years ever since unlv joined the WACK.

the craptanas probably really dont want southern utah in now more than ever, with suu hiring reid the craptanas know that wsu and suu would become the talk of the big sky in basketball and no one would care about them.

part of the problem is that that loser doug fullerton is from craptana and lives there even thought the headquarters are in ogden for the conference.

the dakotas are way too far away and they are now in new conferences for basketball-summit league and the gateway for football. also north dakota state is closer to winnipeg canada and minniapolis that they are to south dakota state, its only expensive to be so far away when u realize all of the sports that travel, not just football and basketball.

The worst part of the SUU deal is they still play one of the Montanas every year. Yes they were shut out this year.

North Dakota State and South Dakota State have been trying to get into the Sky for almost a decade. Cal Poly wanted to be in the Sky and thought they'd get in with Sac. If you haven't noticed the Big Sky, even with Doug Fullerton, is far better than the Summit or Gateway. SUU is in both of those conferences and wants out bad. The problem is money!! SUU has absolutely no budget, much like Weber. Thank goodness for the U of U (All the other state institutions combined don't even come close to matching the U's budget for Athletics, lets share the pie a little bit better huh). While the Dakotas both have a lot of money. Without the money option SUU would make the most sense. It's on I-15 and has two International airports within 4 hours of it and a municipal airport and hour away, but unfortunately, SUU has no funds.

I think that you'd find that most CAT and griz fans would love to be rid of unc and suc state. We would love to replace them with cal davis, cal poly, suu, ndsu, and sdsu.

You'd also be hard pressed to find many Bobcats that would claim Fullerton. He is not well liked. Getting unc because of the proximity to Altitude was the dumbest thing he did.

IMHO, I would love to see a 10 or 12 team conference that is divided into two divisions. I think that this would raise our level of competition and gain some more publicity and/or recognition.

The reason that I don't like the idea of a two division conference is that it makes for really BAD football schedules. You would not be able to play every team in the conference. Just think if the WSU/MSU matchup or the WSU/ISU matchup was not played every year. I think that a 9 or at most 10 team conference is just right.

2002: ISU 34 Weber Nada

First blanking in the last 30 years of the series.

Hey Bio,

Sorry for hate'n on your team! WSU does look forward to SUU more than ISU, but SUU doesn't come close to beating WSU in comparison to our W/L record vs the Bengals.

FYI, SUU has only beat WSU 3 times.

No big thing, in-state rivalries are always the best.

Exactly!! I do love playing ISU and the rivalry that ensues, but, and I'm not bashin on ISU in any regard, but playing SUU every year is huge!! We didn't even play them this year in Basketball. Also, I'm pretty sure that MSU and UM both were in favor of bringing in SUU. It was SAC and EWU that were against it. SAC wanted UC Davis to get the nod, and if not them then possibly Cal Poly. Eastern, I'm really not sure why they were so against it. 94 Bobcat, Fullerton must be a Grizz supporter! I agree with you I'd like to see the Big Sky add another team. Lets get rid of Sac and bring in Cal Poly instead and then add SUU. Any takers?? Hell, lets be honest Idaho needs to stop pretending and come back to the Sky.
