It does look a little like the Fly run by Lodi, the fly is designed to take advantage of the the outside a lot more that the cox. Many teams are running the Fly now or at least a hybrid of the Fly / Spread. A true Cox offence is build to take advantage of smaller, quick backs and O linemen.
BTW... Not sure where the name came from but I would quess there was a Coach Cox at one point. Don't see anyone using it much anymore with the exception of youth football tteams in the Bay Area.
