2009 Predictions

Yeah I know it's only June, but it's never to early to talk college football. I was just curious to hear every ones predictions for the upcoming season.
I am going with 9-2, with a win in Missoula on Halloween. get ready to crown the Wildcats outright BSC champs, and hosting 2 playoff games. Lets just get more people to the damn games!!

wow AJ we are pretty close, Im going for 10-1, including wins in Missoula and Laramie, lose at the Rams.

8-0 Big Sky Champs.

9-2, with losses to Colorado State and Montana.

I'll give you guys the Wyoming game though, they just recently suspended their 2 top WRs for that game. Considering the are a pass first team now, I think they are in for a shock.

This probably should be a whole different topic, but if WSU were to pull off back-to-back FBS wins over Wyoming and Colorado State, how high should they be ranked going into Week 3?

Do you know where we can find any info about the suspensions?

I think every team has improved from last year...however, since they have all improved then little has changed except the OCS... Maybe the Sky will get some big OCS wins this year. I"m hoping Weber does... WYOMING, COLORADO ST., and CAL POLY... I'm thinking Weber can get two out of the three. As for the conference schedule... I'm worried about the PSU, Eastern, and UM games on the road. Also, the UNC game could be scary, but I think Weber is just too good for a UNC team that is definitely getting better, but still building. Eastern...We owe them! PSU...well they are good defensively, but are they good enough to stop Weber's offense? I think Weber's biggest concern is health...I hope the team has to take practice time off to study. I think that was a serious reason why they were successful and healthy last season.

The NCAA would have no choice but to rank Weber at #1

Although it would be great for your program, I don't see you guys winning both games versus the MWC. I can see you guys beating Wyoming, but not CSU. Although they are down, I just don't see a win against these guys. I think it will be close again, similiar to the game vs. the U last season.

9-2*

*A healthy team

Heard a rumor that this is the healthiest the team has ever been going in to summer camp - no major problems except for Justin White, who will probably be out with a medical redshirt for 2009.

I'm on a lot of MWC boards and posed the question of them losing to Weber State, here was there response.

Hey Z...no way in hell UW loses to Weber. No way. It in may be close, but everyone has lost site of one thing...our D is going to be top 20 plus caliber this year. If our offense generates even 14 points, Weber will lose...probably by 14 points.

A Wyoming fan not being realistic... Weber's offense tangled with one of the best defenses in the country last seson, by far the best in the MWC, UTAH, and was successful. Weber has only improved, become deeper, and is more experienced this year. Also, with most of the skill positions returning for the Wildcats, Weber will be able to run their offense fairly close to how they ended the season. Yes, they may be a bit rusty, but they will be far more prepared due to their experience and returning players. However, I wouldn't doubt Wyoming doing everything they can to stop the Wildcats. There is a lot of pride running on this game. Cowboy Joe definitely doesn't want to be the SDSU of the MWC this season.

To be honest, I'm not totally sold on Colorado State either...but I'm sure they will be ready for the Cats. Weber's chances of going 2-0 against MWC competition is virtually impossible. It would be nice to see, but I highly doubt it will happen. However, if there ever was a team that could pull it off, it would be this one.

Joe Glenn is gone, he was replaced by the OC from Missiouri I believe. They will be throwing the spread against you guys this season. I don't think they have the horses yet to run the system, so honestly i'm thinking they will be on the losing side of the scoreboard most of the season.
