9-2, with losses to Colorado State and Montana.
I'll give you guys the Wyoming game though, they just recently suspended their 2 top WRs for that game. Considering the are a pass first team now, I think they are in for a shock.
This probably should be a whole different topic, but if WSU were to pull off back-to-back FBS wins over Wyoming and Colorado State, how high should they be ranked going into Week 3?
I'm on a lot of MWC boards and posed the question of them losing to Weber State, here was there response.
Hey Z...no way in hell UW loses to Weber. No way. It in may be close, but everyone has lost site of one thing...our D is going to be top 20 plus caliber this year. If our offense generates even 14 points, Weber will lose...probably by 14 points.
A Wyoming fan not being realistic... Weber's offense tangled with one of the best defenses in the country last seson, by far the best in the MWC, UTAH, and was successful. Weber has only improved, become deeper, and is more experienced this year. Also, with most of the skill positions returning for the Wildcats, Weber will be able to run their offense fairly close to how they ended the season. Yes, they may be a bit rusty, but they will be far more prepared due to their experience and returning players. However, I wouldn't doubt Wyoming doing everything they can to stop the Wildcats. There is a lot of pride running on this game. Cowboy Joe definitely doesn't want to be the SDSU of the MWC this season.
To be honest, I'm not totally sold on Colorado State either...but I'm sure they will be ready for the Cats. Weber's chances of going 2-0 against MWC competition is virtually impossible. It would be nice to see, but I highly doubt it will happen. However, if there ever was a team that could pull it off, it would be this one.
