The Portland State men's basketball team wrapped up its preseason trip to the Bahamas with a 93-90 loss to the Bahamas All-Stars.
The Vikings had a chance at the end when Melvin Jones made a steal with five seconds left. Jones got a three-pointer off that went in-and-out preventing a shot at overtime.
For the second time in three games Chris Harriel was the leading scorer with 22 points and six rebounds. Phil Nelson added 15 and Jones had 14.
Chehales Tapscott and Nate Lozeau each scored 10 points.
The Vikings were hindered by 23 turnovers in the game. They return home with a 2-1 record on the trip.
"We played a good game against some real good athletes, so it was a good experience for us," said Viking Coach Tyler Geving.
Sophomore Kenton Bansemer will blog again on the Vikings' trip to the Bahamas. A photo gallery of the trip will come soon as well.
