2010 Dinner Under the Lights

Hornet football’s 3rd annual “Dinner Under the Lights” fund raiser is scheduled for August 28th at 6 pm at Hornet Stadium. Word on these boards is that it was a hit last season and this would give interested people a chance to make a few moves on the new turf (so dust off those cleats and get ready). Tickets are $100 a head and tables of 8 can be reserved for $800. RSVP must be made by August 16th. This is 80% tax deductable. Since there is an open bar from 6-7 pm, I won't show up, otherwise Hornet football will start the season with a huge deficit. :D ;)
 
I've been the last two years and its been a really fun evening. I would encourage anyone who can to attend. Great Happy Hour, nice dinner, live auction and a live band makes for a good time. There were 300 the first year, about 600 last year, so this should be huge this year. Especially since we get to eat on our new turf!
 
Just a reminder, if anyone is interested in attending Dinner Under the Lights, the deadline to RSVP is Monday, August 16th. RSVP can be made with the football secretary Katy Logaburn @ (916) 278-7053 or [email protected]. It’s $100 per person. Tables of 8 can be reserved (if they are still available).
 
There were 48 tables of 10 per table, but since the weather was a little cool, not all tables were full. Auctions went well, lots of money raised. The food was better than last year but the way they had the serving line didn't work well. A lot of people ate while standing waiting to get to the next food tent.
