1st Round:
  • • 68-65 PSU over MSU. I saw the last 6 minutes or so and it was a great finish. It was a back and forth game with each team grabbing the lead with every possession. PSU tied it from the free throw line with 30 seconds left then forced an over and back turnover with their full court press. PSU ran down the clock and M Jones drained a 3 with 3 seconds left to win it.
    • 81-60 UM over NAU.

Semi-finals:
  • • Tuesday, March 9th, 3:30 PST: PSU @ WSU
    • Tuesday, March 9th, 6:00 PST: UM @ UNC (in Ogden, UT)

Semi-finals
  • • 68-63 UM over UNC. UNC completely squanders a wonderful season and a 2 seed in the BSC Tournament. UM out rebounded UNC by 10. Every other statistical category was pretty even.
    • 69-60 WSU over PSU. PSU dominated WSU inside but it wasn't enough. WSU didn't put it away until the last few minutes.

Final
  • • Wednesday, March 10th, 6:00 PST: UM @ WSU (in Ogden, UT)

It might be too soon to say UNC "completely" squadered a good season. Certainly, they're not going to get an at-large to the NCAA Tournament. But it's still theoretically possible for them to get a bid to one of the lower-tier tournaments, which is something they've never had before at the D-I level.

Not as much as they would have liked, but still an improvement.

Final
  • • 66-65 UM over WSU. WSU blew a 20 point halftime lead. Johnson scored a BSC Tournament record 42 points, 34 of which came in the second half. WSU lost this one at the free throw line. WSU's other downfall was going to an offensive set geared towards running clock instead of keeping their up-tempo game plan. UM is in the Dance and WSU will probably see an NIT invite.

Not much to say about this one. Weber completely gave it away. Sessions was terrible at the line. All he had to do at a minimum was just sink one FT. BTW, that last call where they said jump ball with 4 secs left was bogus. Lillard was cleared dragged down by the Montana defender. Foul should have been called.
