2010 Track & Field

LOS ANGELES — Sam Schur finished first in the decathlon and Naima Goodwin concluded the heptathlon in second place to lead Sacramento State at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie-Joyner Kersee Invitational on Friday.

Schur maintained his first day lead and recorded a personal best 6,888 points. His tally ranks third in school history and is the most by a Hornet since Albert Miller scored 7,455 in 1983. The Santa Maria, Calif., native also moved to the top of the Big Sky Conference list this season and ranks 18th in the West Region.

Another solid performance by athletes on both the men's and women's track teams. 8-)
