To no one’s surprise the Hornets roll to an easy sweep in this matchup. No wonder they bailed on last years meet, I wouldn’t be surprised if they bailed on every meet from here on out.

Great job by the athletes and coaches.

DAVIS, Calif. — A year off didn't change the outcome of the Causeway Classic Track Meet as the Hornets swept both the men's and women's competitions on Saturday at UC Davis. The women won 99-92 while the men claimed a 102-87 victory in the first meeting between the two teams since 2009.

For a track meet, I wouldn't exactly call this an "easy" sweep, particularly on the girls side. But ANY win is great, particularly when it comes against the Manure Pile. They have one of the best throws coaches in history. (Of course, I'm biased because he was a teammate at Lodi High. I'd LOVE to get Tim Fua over at Sac.)

Thanks for the info, SD. You are once again at the top in Hornet sports coverage. As always!
