POCATELLO, Idaho- The schedule is set for the 2011 Idaho State football season. The Bengals play five home games at Holt Arena and six games on the road. The Bengals open the season playing four of their first six games at Holt Arena.

After a road game on September 3 at Washington State, the home schedule starts Sept. 10 against Western States, a Division II school that plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Idaho State leads the overall series with Western State, 18-7-1, but the Sept. 10 will be the first meeting between the two schools since 1962.

Some good: 4 of first 5 are winnable; 4 of first 6 at home.

Some bad: BYU; Washington State; bye game at end of year; early end to season.

When it comes to playing FBS schools, Wazzu and BYU are about the best for us. I've attended a handful of WSU games since I've lived up here and they do not provide an intimidating or harsh environment for opposing teams at all. Additionally, they're awful so it shouldn't be anything like playing an SEC team again. Montana State only lost to WSU by one point this year.

BYU's not a bad game either, if we have to play two FBS schools. Generally mild stadium if you're not Utah and easy travel for our team and fans.

I'm disappointed that our bye is at the end of the season -- but as someone who lives in Moscow and has to deal with Vandal bullcrap all-day-everyday, I'm just happy I'll get to see the Bengals play on the Palouse! We'll have at least some representation at the game from the sizable group of loyal Bengals at the law school.

Moscow, I think we could play Wazzu tougher than a lot of people think, when you consider that last year MSU had the Cougars on the ropes the entire game, before Wazzu kicked a last second field goal to win it 23-22. And Wazzu is horrible! And in Poky we took MSU into overtime before losing -- we should have had that game as well as the Weber game. I think we'll be better next year, we can't get any worse! We were up in the Palouse a couple years ago when ISU played at Idaho, and we'll probably be up there again this fall to see ISU play, as I've always enjoyed visiting that area.

Could be a great weekend in the Palouse.

Friday night (tentative) Idaho vs Bowling Green in the Kibbie Sept 2nd 2011 ( or could be the 1st on Thus like this past season opener) ....stay over to watch ISU at WAZZZZZU for Sat...

It's an all play! :D

BTW....did the HUMAN find a DC yet?

Kramer said that the DC would be one of the defensive assistants that he hired. They would be running his stuff, but making the calls on their own.

ISU filled one of the open coaching slots with a coach that will concentrate on academics. He understands that getting the APR in line is critical.
