2011 NCAA Track & Field Finals

Lea Wallace advanced to the finals in the 800 meters. She will have a shot at a national championship on Friday.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Senior Lea Wallace finished first in her heat to automatically advance to the finals of the women's 800 at the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Wednesday evening.

Litwiller was unable to qualify for the finals in the men's 800 m.

In the men's 800, Nathanael Litwiller ran 1:51.79 to place 24th overall. The sophomore, who was making his first NCAA Championships appearance, set the school record in the quarterfinals to qualify.

It appears that I JUST missed seeing Wallace in the mile (minus). I saw Sac State's FB post that she was competing after the meet started, and they were just getting ready for the boys mile (minus). Missing it puts me in mind of what Muttley said in Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, also known as Stop the Pigeon. Unfortunately, that's unrepeatable. :oops:
