I can't really see BLM having much of a shot at being a finalist or winning it unless he cuts down on the INTs, and in the history of the award only one WR has ever won it, Brian Finneran from Villanova in 1997. I'd imagine Kaufman would have to put up some pretty ridiculous numbers like 1700+ yards receiving and 20TDs to win it. /pessimistic realism

The thing that's playing against BLM with this more than anything else is the fact that he's a transfer. I don't think any transfer has ever won it.

Cool to see BK on there - another solid performance this season and I think he could have a really good chance of winning it in 2012...........if people haven't noticed with both the Payton and Buchanan Awards, they do tend to factor in previous seasons. Just look at Sherritt - finished second in 2009 and then won it in 2010 with lower numbers than he had the previous year.
