Two recruits:

Cottonwood stars commit: Two of the players most responsible for Cottonwood's 10-0 start to the season have orally committed to play at Weber State, coach Josh Lyman said.

Linebacker Luke King and lineman James Washington will become Wildcats next season. Former Cottonwood coach Cecil Thomas is an assistant coach there on Ron McBride's staff.

King a 6-foot, 195-pound backer was one of the Colts' hardest hitters. He missed the team's final game with a suspension.

Washington a 6-foot-4 stalwart, picked the Wildcats over schools including Utah State. Last spring, the Tribune's Jay Drew reported Washington had garnered interest from much bigger programs, including UCLA.

wide receiver from oklahoma 6'1" 185 marquis walters.. high school recruit
Great pick up, this kid averaged 21+ yards per catch this season. He had 37 catches for 793 yards and six touchdowns.

verbal BARRINGTIN COLLINS 5'8'' 185 RB Corona, Cal. 4.4 speed

I was just on rivals looking at his information and it says he is a three star recruit. He is the third major recruit Weber has been able to get.

Barrinton Collins was being recruited by Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Florida State, Oregon State, and UCLA. How on Earth did Weber land this guy?

Now...if Weber is able to land Juda Parker (he originally verballed with Tennesse but reopened his recruitment) that would be the biggest coup in the history of the program.

Washington and Morton are also great pickups.

Hmm, I think the 4.4 speed may be a bit of a stretch but the kid looks like a player. Surprisingly strong for his size.

Nothing solid yet...but considering Weber for sure. Had verbaled to CSU, but opened things up again. I had to put him on here because he's such a nice dual-threat QB that we would love to have along with that 3-star RB that committed to us.

Edmond Memorial defensive tackle Connor Myers made the rounds in the last month, visiting three different campuses in three weekends.

It helped him make us his mind as Myers has verbally committed to Weber State, said his father, Scott Myers, in an e-mail Friday morning.

Myers, 6-foot and 287 pounds, was a first-team selection for Big All-City by The Oklahoman and was one of the leaders of a stout Bulldogs defense.

Myers also visited Florida Atlantic and Air Force in the last month. Myers said he likes the attitude of the Weber State coaches.

It also doesn’t hurt that former Memorial players David James and Anthony Morales are there. Edmond Santa Fe alums Willie Okwuonu, Alex Land and Trevor Pletcher are also at Weber State. Del City wide receiver Marquis Walters has also committed there

This is the coach that gets the Oklahoma kids
Kamaal Ahmad
Position: Assisant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator / Running Backs
Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Experience: 4 Years

Del City wide receiver Marquis Walters has also committed there..

All I know he should be making more!! Ahmad has found some AWESOME players. Land could have started last year, but the coaches held off for a year as way to save him. Actually, all of our OK players have panned out. Each have been great additions.

Having lived in Oklahoma in the past, I can tell you that Oklahoma High school football is no joke, if they can play well there in High School, then the kid can flat out play.
