These preseason rankings are always fun to see, but often times players not on the radar have break out years and change the whole complexion of a program's success. Having said that though, I really like the fact that these kids composed 30% of the list. GO VIKS !

#1 Zach Brown
#3 Nevin Lewis
#10 Thomas Duyndam

#5 Trevor Pletcher - Weber State.

Pretty good list, Tevor was a beast last year, lets hope he can continue his aggressive play this year.

look for Pletcher and Eastman to have a great season playing next to each other :)

I agree, they really compliment each other. I just hope Sears will turn them loose! I can only imagine what they could do if he would.

they're both seniors, they feed off of each other, with someone in the 1 gap that can play, it will only make the D line more tenacious. Belford loves them because they 'create chaos' and disrupt the backfield... and that is what creates turnovers.

With 3 more sacks, Eastman will make the Top 10 list for Sacks at WSU according to the info listed on his bio. Trevor is quick off the edge, throw a couple of twists, and they will do some damage with the entire D line.

GO CATS

Will the Cats be having two SRs on one side and two Sophs on the other? I know that Adam, even though he wasn't participating in Spring Drills is also excited for his SR year. Washington, White, Eastman, and Pletcher with Connor Myer getting a lot of reps is one hell of a dangerous DL. Also we have some solid LBs with Harris (hope his leg has fully healed), Morales, Henry, and and a couple of younger guys in Luke, Martin, and Venzuzale (Sp?).

Our Defense will be a lot better. I'm with you Sem, I hope Sears lets these guys go nuts. Put a pounding on opposing teams backfields.

Also, hopefully, Mullarkey is fully back from his leg and, if so, he will have a terrific season. Gotta throw Jalin Ames (red.frosh) into the mix - heard he could end up being a real difference maker. With Ames, Mullarkey, Pletcher and Washington, we could have an unbelievable set of 4 DEs rotating into games and always being 'fresh.'

Mullarkey is still doing some rehab, wasn't really ready for last season, but thinks he is going to be ready this year. They never gave him time to heal to 100% last year, sure makes a difference!

Hopefully, Eastman will be 100% too! Can't imagine having a completely healthy line! Do D!!

Mularkey is solid, but just think of a healthy D line, almost an oxymoron for WSU. For many of the Seniors, this season is going to be their benchmark year. Eastman has battled injuries but learned to play through them. Word from trainers is he's ready to go and he's going to open a lot of eyes with his speed. I look for the D line with White in the middle to be just plain 'nasty' and we are going to need every ounce of nasty. The LB's should be drooling, with some solid attack instincts, the LB's could control the lanes fairly well. Has the makings for a season like the 2008 Championship boys..... we shall see...... GO CATS...
