I know it is early, but from this site we can get an idea of who Weber could possibly play.

It says St. Mary's is scheduled to play on the road this year. I'd love nothing more than to play the Gayles again. I know Weber can beat them.

they try and line up interesting matchups that could be "bracket busters". i dont think they wouldn't have us play a team we have already played. adding a mystery game late in the year to make things a little more interesting prior to the big dance isnt interesting to play a team youve already played. at least i think this is how they do it. i would love it though, smc would get us a big crowd and could potentially be a big game if we keep on winning.

to me the best options are, and when i say options im only thinking of who can get us bigger attendance....nevada or hawaii. wichita would be a good one but most probably dont know they are good. butler would be another good one. it seems like they try and regionalize the games like fcs playoffs so a western team like big west or wac is probably best bet.

nevada?
hawaii?
long beach?

who do you want?

there are a lot of teams on that list i would love to see, most though have a home game also.

Kinda crap that Weber, probably, won't ever be able to play a lot of those teams on the list, since they are scheduled to be home when we are scheduled to be home.

I would really love to have St Mary's on our floor, with nuetral refs. It would be a great game. :thumb:

Agree 110%. Now I am anxious to watch this team control what they can in the future one game at a time. Its onward and upward from here. This is a good/great team.

Just looked at the list of road teams hoping Murray St. (10-0) was on there after they beat #20Memphis today. They are a home team this year though. At this point I would have to go with:

All road teams it's going to be one of these 5.

1. Wichita St.
2. St. Mary's
3. Nevada
4. UC Santa Barbara
5. Long Beach

I'd love to see Wichita come to Ogden, but I think in all likelihood we'll end up with Santa Barbara or Nevada.

Well.......the better we play, the more exciting our opponent and better chance for TV exposure. There is a committee who assigns many of these games, so it could be a good gauge as to how the hoops world regards WSU:
vs Long Beach St.= team is meeting expectations and in control of BSC race. Possible game on ESPNU.
vs. Wichita St= team upset Cal or is otherwise on a roll. Lillard still leading nation in scoring. On ESPN.
vs. Hawaii or Fresno= team meting expectations, but ESPN would rather see SMC and LBSU paired up for the TV game.
vs. UC Davis or Cal Poly= injuries continue to haunt the team, and we are under-achieving in BSC play.

Despite the BYU debacle, I still see an outside chance to host a TV game. How cool would that be for the school?

I know this might now have much barring on our game, but is B...Y...U participating in the Bracket Buster this year? I definitely don't want to see them again.

Some of those Texas schools could make for an interesting game. Another thing to consider is that we have to play them at their place next year. So, Hawaii, Texas, California or at least a warmer climate would be good. :coffee:
