In a nutshell, predicted order of finish is MSU, EWU and then UM in both coaches and media poll. I think an argument could be made for EWU being #1, however, don't have any issue with MSU being picked at the top - it will make victory that much sweeter when we beat them in Bozeman this fall :lol:

That said, I'm sorry I just don't see how the Griz will be able to put together a top 3 team this year. Unbelievable prediction. Obviously, they have all the off the field troubles, not to mention their QB was suspended and finally, have they settled on a head coach???? Too many distractions, and I think it's a slap in the face of North Dakota (who might deserve it ;) - i remember their fans being a bit....ummmm....rude). OR maybe it's the fact that I #cantstandtheGriz.....maybe.

Montana gets 5 first place votes in the media poll...really, are you kidding me?? Shows the media are just a bunch of sheep that, generally speaking do not know what they are talking about, with the exception of Jim Allen of course.
I agree with MSU being #1, at least until Oct 13, and EWU @ #2, but s/b Portland #3, Cal Poly and SUU tied for 4th then Montana no better than 6th. The Grizzlies do have a pretty favorable schedule in that they do not play PSU of Cal Poly but their troubles may be deeper than we know.
 
GoEags - When you mentioned that the University of North Dakota fans were 'a bit rude' weren't you talking about the North Dakota State fans - the team we played in '10? North Dakota fans might think that would be like Montana State Bobcat fans being compared to Griz.
 
Poly does not play MSU, Montana, or us in conference play, and their option always gives everyone fits. I'd move them to 3 but I still think the Griz are a top 4. Too many good athletes, WGS, and too good a tradition. They'll be more than a little chippy.

Portland state will be pretty solid as well this year. Appears there will be a number of tied records since all teams do not play each other. What will the tiebreakers be and in what order?
