Should be an interesting battle this spring and fall for the starting QB job. Just based on this past season, Jordan Adamczyk would be the front runner going into spring ball. As of now, the roster will have four other QBs that will battle Adamczyk, including JC transfer Alfonso Medina and three returning from 2012.

Jordan Adamczyk - Senior who backed up starter Hoke in 2012. Has appeared in 9 games in 2 seasons, including 1 start. Was 8-12 passing for 128 passing yards and rushed 4 times for 19 yards in 2012.

Alfonso Medina - Junior JC transfer who threw for 5,345 yards and 61 touchdowns in two years as the starter at Santa Monica College.

Ben Maraz - Will be a Sophomore. Has not appeared in any games during career.

Tyler Parson - Will be a Sophomore. Has not appeared in any games during career.

Jadrian Clark - Will be a red-shirt freshman. Has not appeared in any games during career.

Maraz will transfer

Too bad to hear that Maraz will be transfering. He is a traditional pocket QB. I think Sears and Pflugrad want QBs who are mobile as well as good passers. Look at the guys the coaches have been recruiting? While Maraz isn't the most mobile. He has a great arm though and is fairly accurate. I think after his ACL injury he fell behind and his development suffered for it. I wish him the best and I hope he finds the best situation for him.

I'm pretty excited to see what Austin will be able to accomplish once he arrives on campus. He was recruited fairly hard by some Eastern FCS schools: JMU, Richmond, and Delaware. I believe he actually verbally committed to one and then turned them down to come to Weber.

Sad to see Maraz go. Didnt he have a couple FBS offers and turned them down to go to Weber? I thought he would be leading the team by now. Good luck to him!
