I was surprised to see Kramer sign four JUCO players based on his public announcements at the end of the 2012 season. I would have to guess that this is the end of his signing of JUCO players for the 2013 season.

Bengalcub?....somebody?....give us some more tips on visits....verbals...High school guys we're looking at...JC signings......i think we still would be looking for DL help....maybe an OL.....a corner to replace henley.....anybody hearing anything?....

Sage Burmeister of La Jolla Country Day '13 (San Diego area), has just committed to play both football (WR/ATH) and basketball (PG/SG) at ISU.

Basketball - (Sage is #3 in white)

Andrew Smith of San Diego Coastal Sports has more on football/basketball commit Sage Burmeister...

The two-sport star had basketball offers from mid-major powerhouse Creighton and Eastern Washington. On the football side two-time defending FCS champions North Dakota State along with Coastal Carolina and Gardner Webb were also bidding for his talents.

On the football field his senior season the “Blurmeister” was flat-out sensational doing it all for the Torreys. He racked up 2,142 total yards of offense to go along with a Coastal League leading 28 touchdowns. But, the multipurpose star did it all this year.

The natural born WR was forced into the running back role for the first time in his life, with injuries up-and-down their roster, he went off for 362 yards on 38 carries against Parker.

...no doubt he looks like someone we could use....i'd say call kramer and get a copy of his highlights to him...BUT i'd suggest correcting the spelling of "sophomore" at the beginning where it reads "sophore season" first.... :twocents:

It's official. You've got him now Bengals and he's a good one. QB Delacenserie signs with ISU.

Pictured is Wasatch Offensive Coordinator Craig Davis, James Delacenserie and Wasatch Head Football Coach Steve Coburn.

The Idaho Statesman is reporting that QB Darian Seifert of Centennial HS, Idaho, has verbally committed to play for the Bengals. Darian is 6'2", 190 lbs. and runs the 40 in about 5.0 -- I'm not sure whether he'll eventually end up playing QB for the Bengals. From some of the vague comments that Coach K said in his interview, I have a feeling that Highland QB Neil Jewell will join the ISU program this fall as well.

Not too bad. Breland is a name I hadn't seen before. And 3 OL's aren't listed, but Kramer mentioned at least 2 are yet to be announced.

Nice job everybody!

From the Post Register:

Shelley senior offensive tackle Garrett Smith (6-7, 285) joined Swensen and Leckington at Shelley's signing ceremony and offered his verbal commitment to a full ride from Idaho State. He could not sign Wednesday because a math class he took Highland High School, where he attended as a freshman and sophomore, did not transfer to Shelley, leaving him short of NCAA Clearinghouse rules. He is currently enrolled in a class to make up for it. Smith will also serve a mission and return to the Bengals in 2015.

ISU adds to recruiting class:

Chad Hansen, WR, Fr. 6-2, 185, Moorpark High School, Moorpark, Calif.
Moorpark High School: Team captain … MVP of varsity football team and track and field team … first-team all-Marmonte League and Ventura County … finished senior season with 49 catches for 882 yards and 12 touchdowns … averaged nearly 20 yards a catch … won the Marmonte League Championship as an individual in the 100 meter and two team championships … maintained over a 3.5 GPA through high school.

John Wustrow of the Idaho Press Tribune reports that Zak Johnson from Nampa Christian has committed and will provide some competition to the kicking game:

While he didn't get a chance to kick many field goals this season, Nampa Christian senior Zak Johnson still did enough to impress the coaches at Idaho State.

On Monday, Johnson committed to continue his football career at the same school his parents, Mike and Kim, both graduated from.

Johnson said he took an unofficial visit to Pocatello Feb. 10-11, then decided this past weekend that Idaho State was the school he wanted to attend.

Mike Johnson said that it is still to be determined whether or not his son will by offered a scholarship. But the coaches told Zak he would have a chance to compete for the starting kicking job in the fall.

“They said that if I perform the way they saw me perform in the highlight film, I have a good chance of starting my first year there,” Johnson said.

Johnson was 3-for-5 on field goals this season, but Mike Johnson said it was his kickoffs that attracted the coaches at Idaho State.

Eighty percent of Johnson's kickoffs this season went for a touchback. Seven of his kicks went for 75 yards or more, according to Mike Johnson, who is also the Trojans' team statistician.
