LOIs can still be signed until April 1.

WR/CB Austin Whetzel from Lehi HS has signed. Will serve mission before enrolling.

So what does that make 35 recruits now?

To be more accurate, Whetzel is said to have committed to play for Weber. Don't know if he's actually signed a LOI. Anyways, he would make at least 35 recruits, but as many as 15 of those could serve missions. And as usual whenever there's a coaching change, I'm sure we'll see some turnover this spring and fall as some returning players leave the program.

Coach Hill said that nobody has asked to be released and they are not going to ask anyone to leave. He said that everyone seems to be enthusiastic and is doing what they are asked. He said that all programs expect to lose kids to lack of playing time, but that situation has not come up. Everyone is on equal footing with the program and will be given a chance to make a case for playing time. He does not intend to evaluate any of them until spring ball has completed. He said that he likes all of them and thinks there will prove to be some really good players in the mix.

That's good to hear from Coach Hill. Give everyone currently in the program a fair shake. We don't need anyone going all JLS and cutting half the team. But remember there are only 63 scholies to go around. And they should go to the best 63 players.
