2015 Fall Camp

I made it out yesterday and it was a fun atmosphere especially seeing all the kids having an opportunity to go down on the field afterwards and interacting with the players. The player that stood out to me the most was Joey Banks who seems to be a human missile and was around the ball when he was in the game. It is nice to think that he will be around another 4 years. I just hope he doesn't get hurt. I also was impressed by the freshman quarterback Nate Ketteringham I think he going to be a good one. All he needs is experience. He seems very poised in the pocket and has a nice arm.

A lot of the younger players were playing. Kniffin played around 5 plays and was out. It was good to see a lot of the young players. We are very young that is for sure. Future looks bright. Cornish has his work cut out for him. I am sure Sears still starts Cornish but the other kicker looks good.

Yeah...they only had starters going a series or two at most - was more of a fan event and a chance for last look at the youngsters, they look promising.

The Dinner Under the Lights event was well done as well. If any of you have a chance to go next year I would recommend it. Good fundraiser for the team and well done. Coach Sears father was the auctioneer and I must say was very entertaining.

I know the players are really looking forward to an actual Game week...

Go Hornets!!! Stinger Up!!!

Sounds like the starting lineups are pretty much set then. I guess we’ll see what they are when the week 1 game notes are released. Thanks for the info OG, OH, and HF. :thumb:

Personally, I'm going to have to defer to the coaches evaluation following 3 weeks 7 day a week fall competition; a little more to go on than a few seconds of highlights on the provided videos. Just sayin....

I don't think Kniffin was a surprise selection to anyone following closely.

I am looking forward to kicking things off this Saturday; hope to see a big crowd!

Looking forward to the Hornets kicking off the season at home for the first time in 7 years.

Hope to see a large crowd indeed. Sac State has hit the 30,000 enrollment mark for the first time in school history. And hope all the sophomore class comes out after a winning 7-5 season and the first year class joins in. And hope the juniors and seniors come on board as well. The game is free for 30,000 students. If most of the students of Sac State support their school at football games attendance will be great. Do believe that huge crowds help the team to wins as history shows.. And a 5-0 record at home is certainly a goal to be achieved this year. May we win the first game on Saturday against Eastern Oregon and the last home game against UC Davis and the three other games in between the next three months.

Go Hornets.

Stingers Up!!

Looking forward to first game...spoke to a couple coaches and the QB battle was close, they told me Kolney has all the tools and they are very happy he is here. Kniffin just had a better understanding of the offense at this time. May have been a harder decision if Kolney was healthy and could have participated in Spring...but either way I am excited to have both of these good QB's in the stable.

Good Luck and Stingers Up!!!

It would not surprise me to see Cassel inherit this job if Kniffin struggles even a little bit...
