According to his twitter, 6'4", 275lbs OL Codi Mcquire has accepted an early offer to play football at Eastern Washington University. Seems like a really good pickup.

Looks like we recruited him as a Corner. Great feet and lays a mean hit! A little vertically challenged at 5'7, though. He can overcome it, but he will need to have a good work ethic. Not something that I am worried about in a Baldwin crew.
 
Simms is a Rivals 2-Star recruit, other offers were from Idaho, MSU, and NAU. 4.4 speed...obviously a little "vertically challenged", but we've had CB's that short before (Trufant, etc). Elite speed probably makes up for the height issue a little, especially if he has good leaping ability.

Kind of an insult to Idaho that they can't prevail over an FCS school. You get what you deserves comes to mind. :lol:
 
Kody Beckering, the All-State linebacker from Sunnyside High School in Fresno, Calif. He was supposed to be part of the 2014 recruiting class. Does anyone know whatever became of this kid. He would have been a heck of an addition to the EWU linebacking unit.

You are correct, Jared Pulu is Andru and Jordan Pulu younger Brother. He is supposed to be a 4 point GPA Student. Andru once told me he was hoping for an FBS School, especially Stanford, but he might follow in his older brothers footsteps. Surely would be nice for him to follow both Andru and Jordan here at EWU. Even though it's nice to get some early verbals, I'd really like to see us go after more local and in-state talent. Seems like more and more we're getting players from CA.

We'll have plenty of Washington kids come signing day. You can't win Big Sky titles and go to the playoffs every without recruiting California.
