Kniffin had already used his RS year, and McDade was on the roster too. Vercher started the season injured and unless they needed a fourth QB, the best choice was to let him RS I'm guessing. Not saying he's a lock or anything, but I'm sure the competition will be open...
That is my guess as to what happens. Kniffin looked the best in fall camp of that group but that was a long time ago and no one saw significant time during the season. Open it up to open competition and let the best QB claim the role. Peterson has a spring camp, offseason workouts, and fall camp to see who is best suited for the starting role.

Vercher was cut. Kniffin is going to turn heads next year. He has great field vision, does not force risky passes and works his check downs very well.

I think you can turn it around for my prediction, 7-4 with an outside chance of 8-3.

Wins are Eastern Oregon, Weber State, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, Idaho State, N.Arizona, and UC Davis.

Future looks great from my perspctive; Coach Sears/Peterson are in the house!

We are losing a couple of studs that is for sure but you have to look at the whole league. Other schools are losing guys as well. It is different every year. I would not say we are going to be 4-7. That is harsh. I hope we build on what we had last year.
Eastern Oregon W
Washington L
Weber State W
Eastern Washington L
Northern Colorado W
Montana State L
Southern Utah W
Idaho State W
Cal Poly W
Northern Arizona W
UC Davis W

I predict an 8-3 Finish. A huge game is Cal Poly, We have a bye before we play them. 2 Weeks to prepare for the Triple Option. That is huge. EWU will be interesting. No Vernan Adams. Not the same team. But we will see. I am excited to see the team during Spring Ball.

While I wouldn't exactly call Washington an auto-loss (they're nowhere near what they once were), to class that game as a PROBABLE loss would not be all that far off the mark, particularly considering what Cal did to us on the heels of the HORRIBLE 2013 season they endured. I fully endorse OH's proposed results, though I'd more likely consider the MSU game to be closer to a push....
