I was thinking about this a bit over the weekend. Who will decide with Coach to RS this season? To me, I would like Harding and Williams to RS. But with Kiko being injured and out for the season and George being really thin, I think we will end up seeing George and Harding RS. I feel that Coach will once again use Williams a bit as a big as well as Baker, which we already know. It is too bad that Williams most likely won't be RS. He has such potential and could really benefit from a RS year, but with Kiko being down, Coach needs more "bigger" bodies to possibly play the 4.

I think I'm on the same page. Both Williams and Baker will be called on to play several roles off the bench. I think we are too thin at 3 and 4 to give Williams a RS. Definitely Harding and George. I'm very excited to see Harding play, but he just looks like he needs another year of physical maturity before he'll be ready for D1 ball. And it will give him so much more opportunity to play good minutes when he's ready if he takes one.

I totally agree that we are thin at the 4 spot. Kiko's injury changes everything at PF. However, I don't see the same situation at the wing positions. I see 7 guys who can play efficiently at the wing positions. Yes, one of them is injured and will be out for November's games, but that still leaves us deep at those 2 positions. Certainly 2 of them could red shirt and we would be just fine. Another season ending injury could change that. Hopefully, that won't happen. We usually rotate 4 players through the PG/OG/SF positions, with the fifth guy getting 2 to 5 minutes per game. We are deep at the guard and wing positions this year. :coffee:

Honestly, if Kiko wasn't injured, Weber could really afford to RS two guard/wings. Harding and Williams are the two I would want to RS, not because I don't feel they are ready, but because I wouldn't want to waste any of their eligibility. They both have bright futures with the Cats and wouldn't get the mins this year that they will get in the future. Georgie boy Darling is an automatic. He needs a year to grow into himself and to adjust to the American game.
