San Jose State schedules Portland State and Cal Poly for 2016-17

San Jose State has its Football Championship Subdivision games lined up for the next two seasons.

The Spartans will host Portland State in 2016 and take on Cal Poly in 2017. It’s the first time in program history playing Portland State and the 15th time facing Cal Poly. The Spartans are 10-4 all-time against the Mustangs, most recently earning a 19-9 win in 2009.

The Spartans’ 2016 non-conference slate is now filled. SJSU opens the season Sept. 3 at Tulsa, hosts Portland State on Sept. 10 and Utah on Sept. 17 and plays at Iowa State on Sept. 24.
