They always begin the season against 4-5 patsies and no names. Guess to get the confidence up?
Doesnt help the draw of fans though.

There has been a Pac 12 team on the schedule in one of the first three games of the season in 4 out of the last 5 seasons. The one season there wasn't a Pac 12 team on the schedule they opened with Gonzaga who was a Top 10 team that year.

That is why I listed Louisville. It is either a nobody or P5 program, no in between mid-majors.

Avoid the UND/NoCo roadtrip.
No SUU/NAU at home.

Another weak nonconference schedule with no big opponents on it. It looks like the toughest non-conference opponents would be Colorado St or Boise St. We do have two games at the Golden One Center..one against UC Davis and other against Portland and if I remember right the game on December 21 against Portland is part of a doubleheader in which Kansas and Stanford plays the same night so that could be fun. Overall, it looks like the Hornets have the possibility of a winning record.

I like the schedule. One of the better ones in recent years. 2 games in G1 is nice, need to up that in the coming years with hopefully some name programs that can draw.

Causeway in G1.
The Portland game in G1 is a double header with Stanford-Kansas.
I like the BW opponents in the Nest, likely means we play those teams away next season.
Not a fan of the 3rd play down game (4th when you consider the exhibition). This need to turn into a G1 game against a top draw in the future.
Getting Montucky and Weebs at home is good considering they are probably the only BSC teams worth the price of admission.

14 home games, 13 roadies, 2 neutral games at G1. :thumb:

 Made a good schedule into a great one. First BSC team to be invited to play in the Wooden. Huge land by Katz.

Anyone who did not like the schedule has to LOVE it now. 3 Games on ESPN networks in a excellent tournament. This has to be the best schedule in Sac St. history! Coach Katz continues to do great things with this program with the resources he is provided.

I'm confused here. Wooden grew up in IN, played for Purdue, coached at IN State (which much later produced Larry Bird) and UCLA, yet somehow FOOLERTON is running a tournament named for him? How is THAT?

That said, I like our chances of beating SDSU. Beyond that, not so much. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, however.
