Hard to believe that the start of the season is on the doorstep. Here is a quick look at the schedule and in my opinion, the chance for a Vik win, with 1 being very little chance to 10 being an absolute win.
9-1 at San Jose State---(3)---A lot of people are saying we will stay within 2-3 touchdowns of the Spartans, which may be a good moral victory.
9-10 at Washington---(2)----A step up to the Pac-12 level is hard for even the best Big Sky teams and the Huskies will want to avoid another loss to the conference.
9-24 at Montana---(4)---The conference opener and it is on the road at one of the more difficult places to play.
10-1 Northern Arizona---(5)---The home conference opener and the Lumberjacks don't have much returning, but some are thinking they have enough.
10-8 Lincoln, CA---(9)---An NAIA squad that wasn't competitive in any games last year, including DII Central Washington which beat them 92-0.
10-15 Weber State---(5)---The Wildcats remember us ruining their season last year with a win at Ogden.
10-22 at Idaho---(5)---New coach, new team but anything can happen in their dome, especially if they are starting to gel at this point.
10-29 at Eastern Washington---(3)----The Dam Cup comes early but we may not have enough to get the win on the road.
11-5 Northern Colorado---(6)----The Bears are still rebuilding but they do have the firepower to surprise, but we should win at home.
11-11 Sacramento State---(4)----The Hornets are looking to build on their playoff run last year and this game will be in their stretch run.
11-18 at Cal Poly---(7)----The Mustangs haven't had much in recent years and this year looks to be about the same.
