I do not hate BYU. As a school, they are over priced, but OK. I am sure that many of the people there are great and would be good nieghbors. I don't like the attitude of thier fans, as a whole. The only time I have been threatened, physically, was in Provo at a BYU BB game and I was just walking quietly out of the arena. When you live in Utah it is easy to ressent the dominant church. They do try to control most aspects of our lives and they wield far too much power. They are quite arrogant about it. Because BYU is an extension of that church, it is easy to ressent the power, money and arrogance associated with it. Hate, however, is far too deep of an emotion. I wish them weel in all things except playing Weber State.

I don't like BYU either, more than anything their fans and am an active member of the Mormon church. I can't stand their attitude and their treatment toward me. They treat member and non-member the same for the most part. I think that's the main reason for the dislike like of BYU is the fact that their fans are often arrogant and self-righteous.

Im guessing the part about no public prayers allowed in the DEC was some type of byu inside joke?

I will happily cheer on the Aggies any day, as long as they aren't playing WEBER. And I happily cheer for anyone playing BYU. I love telling BYU fans that the original Brigham Young college was in Logan, not in Provo. The BYU we all know and love to hate, was just like Weber...a STAKE Academy playing the Ogden Mutes in football.
Brigham Young's school, the one he loved, is in Salt Lake City and is entering the PAC 10 next year. Not that I like it any better, but I do cheer for the Utes whenever they play the Y.

can we really pull a 2003? we beat byu at home and they were mtn west champs and went to the dance and had 2 players drafted to the nba and one was drafted 1st rd. we finished 30th in the AP but still. they will be really good with jimmy fredet.
i can honestly say jimmy is the only byu player i can recall ive ever liked. he's really good and for some reason doesn't seem like a typical byu'r. and he's from the east coast so he had no clue how byu people were before he signed.
jimm vs lillard will be fun to watch. but isn't fball season coming first, weberski? lol

No matter, Jimmy F, is a pretty decent guy and a hell of a player. It'll be fun watching those two go at each other. I'd like nothing more than two undefeated teams playing at the Dee this fall.

I honestly think Utah State fans are way more annoying than BYU fans. I typically avoid going to either Logan or Provo though. Last year when I went to Logan for the basketball game I don't think I've ever been more annoyed/embarrassed in my life. Those people are pricks. Not counting going to Montana at least.

I only hate them when they play Weber State. Other than that I'm indifferent. Every school has prick fans even, nay, especially Weber State, but I still bleed purple.
The school I hate the most and root against the most is and always will be Utah State. I've been in Logan Salt Lake and Provo for b-ball games, and I have never had a worse experiance than when I attended a game at the Spectrum. Those fans up there are by far the worst, I even hate them more than Montana fans, I would love nothing more than for Utah State to go winnless every year in every sport, thats how much I hate them, yes HATE.

I am generally impartial to BYU. I give them about as much concern and thought as they do Weber. But there are 3 schools that I will root against no matter who, when, where, or what they play: Utah St, Montana, and Oregon, in that order. The fans of each of these schools annoy me to no end.
