27x7's take on the Graves decision

Meh. Too much of your article is assuming Graves would have went gangbusters at Sac State and that Geringer has to live up to some sort of a nonexistent legend associating Graves as a Hornet. No doubt that Graves was amazing in HS but there is no guarantee that would have carried over to D-1 football.

Right now it is shaping up to be that Geringer will have all the tools necessary to be successful.
  • • Big, athletic offensive line – check
    • Big and talented receivers – check
    • Talented running backs - check

I agree with SDH & GCM and I think the hornets have a great recruit in Geringer; 6'4" and looks to be very accurate. Will be good for him to work under Fleming this year.

Next....

Sperbeck is getting a QB that will fit well with the one-back set offense he employs. With Graves, he would have to come up with a playbook that even Sperbeck himself has never run or played in.

While it would have been nice to have Dano, Im thinking with Geringer we will be more successful. Besides, Jake WANTS to BE a HORNET!!!!! Thank you Jake for becoming our QB for the next 4-5 years!!! :)

Go Hornets!!!!

Yes, Geringer, has taken the initiative to become a Hornet. His tape showed a very poised, confident player and I think he will be great for us.
