3rd Place Finish - Exceeding Expectations

The eags were picked to finish 4th in the league this year. Somewhere between 4th and 6th sounded reasonable to me knowing that we had lost one of the best players to ever play in the league. To finish the season in 3rd place and end with a road win in Ogden exceeds what even the most diehard eag hoop fans expected. And to do it without two of the best players on the team (Beo and Davison) in the lineup is what makes it even more impressive. Not many teams could lose their best player (and one of the top players in the league) and end the season one of the hottest teams in the league. This team has so much mental toughness. They have stared adversity in the face all-year long and not backed down to it once. I love the character on this team. Tons of grit mixed with lots of talent. Much more TALENT than many people thought we had.

go eags!

GRIZ lost our most reliable scorer in Akoh. And without him last game, we still beat you with Davison in your lineup. What does that say about the GRIZ? GRIZ BEAT EAGS.
