We are not going to sneek up on anyone anymore and Toledo and San Houston will be looking at film.
Even though the Toledo - Florida score was not close it sounds like the game was.

That said, I think we go 3-1 in our first four games. I think we beat either Toledo or SHSU. But both would be sweet. :D

I would be content losing to Toledo and beating SHSU. Those bearskat fans need heavy dose of STFU. :thumb:
 
As long as we don't get bit by the injury bug, I'm predicting 3-1 with a win at SHSU and a loss at Toledo.
 
We'll be underdogs against both Toledo and Sam Houston State. As much as I want to be hopeful, odds are extremely unfavorable. Right now, I hope we just beat WOU.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we're 3-1. Both SHSU and Toledo are long road trips against very talented teams and our defense will have to play MUCH better to win either of those two - especially in the take away department.

But even at 2-2 we're still in good shape. It will be tough for any team to run the table in-conference (it always is) but even at 9-3 we'd still have a shot at a seed. 10-2 we're a lock.

The nice thing about being a fan is you get to future think a little, but I also remember how excited the board was after the Husky game two years ago.
 
They are both long distances but since jets go a lot faster than a bus the actual travel time is less than the road trip to Corvallis.
I agree 2-2 would be OK but think 3-1 is possible if we play to our potential.
 
Can someone explain how we will be dogs against SHSU? I don't see it that way at all. Is this based off of the fact they beat us last year? If we're going to be honest, had we had VA in that entire game we probably would have won it. I don't see that defense stopping us for an entire game, especially with the losses they have had.

If we can go down to Texas relatively healthy after the Toledo game, I think we beat SHSU - and I think there's a chance we beat them handily.

With all that said, anything worse than a 3-1 start should be considered a failure through our first 4 games with the talent we have on this team.

We should be pretty healthy, since we have the early bye after Toledo. I'm always wary of games after bye weeks though.

Although Vegas does not usually post lines on FCS vs FCS before the playoffs (offshore sites do), I believe we would be a slight dog due to being on the road just as Seattle Eagle mentioned. Odds makers will see two good FCS teams playing and give the edge to the home team assuming nothing happens in the injury department. My guess would be SHSU -3.
 
Would love to go 4-0 but it will be a challenge. I thought if we could go 2-2 through our first 4 games we were going to be damn good, we took a huge step on Saturday! Toledo is going to be better than OSU and its a much longer road trip. We probably won't be favored at SHSU as they beat us in Cheney last year, return pretty much their entire "O", and we will be on the road. Can't wait for the home opener on Saturday!
