The Standard Examiner is reporting that 5 players have been suspended for breaking team rules (drugs):

another sad day for WSU, but choices have consequences. these individuals will learn the hard way that every action has a reaction, it is the natural course of events. let's hope that they can fulfill the requirements to get reinstated by coach mac. as for the one that got charged with possession, i am sure the other 4 are not innocent and they all had a part in this fiasco.

I'm sorry but I totally disagree on this one. Innocent until proven guilty for the other 4, and question is still out on McClane. If everyone in a room got busted for one guy having drugs on him, then it would be illegal to live in University Village. There's been tons of times that I have hung out with people that have had drugs on them. Heck on bus rides home guys would pop pills. Does that make me guilty of possession and warrant suspension? I've never touched an illegal drug in my life let alone a beer. They said the drugs were found in the room, which MAY OR MAY NOT belong to McClane. Sounds like pretty shoddy police work to me, not surprised that shoddy work was done my our fine glorified meter maid cops at WSU.

after reading another article regarding the incident, i agree with you about the poor investigation by the campus police or local authorities. the fact remains that drugs were in the room, and they were there. does that warrant an arrest and being charged? i don't know, i was not there, but i hope that everything works out for the best.
