5 yrs, 125K a year for Katz

Beat me to it PH. Great to see the dept. start to pay its football and basketball coaches a heck of lot more money. This will only help us get better in the two marquee sports!
 
Which asks the question, which is the marquee sport at Sac State?

Sperbeck only makes $120,000, Katz will make $125,000. Wonder what Sperbeck thinks of this? I guess if we start winning and draw more fans the budget will be bigger to pay Sperbeck more. It's not like 563 fans in the gym can justify $5K more than 10,000 football fans in the stadium though.

Did the assistants get a boost in base pay too?
 
Wow, this really surprises me. No way did I think they'd go over 100K/yr. I bet Jenkins just loves that.

In terms of Sperbeck, if he has a winning season this year, I'd bet they would restructure his contract, maybe add on a year and some more cash.
