No not Griz football players on their cheerleaders, OUR guys scrimmaging. Anyone heard anything about individual workouts, practices? Is most of the team here this summer?
Sure miss Vic at times like these.
Are we going to get a 7 on 7 with anyone?

I'd say we could get 7 on 7 vs Central, but nobody else. Kinda tough when you're playing with live bullets against the other two teams in the area. I haven't heard anything, though.

Voluntary workouts for the summer start Monday June 25th at 0600 and 0800 sessions. Late afternoon session around 2-3 pm for guys who have AM jobs. And YES, they will all be there, they know what's at stake. If you miss more than 3 of the voluntary summer workouts, then you get the privelage of participating in the Mandatory conditioning test 1 day before fall practice begins. If you fail that test, then your on the 0600 conditioning team when 2 a days start, and the conditioning test isn't EASY! Plus, they want to get off to a good 2-0 start for the season, the guys are jacked!!!!!

Also, I'm sure most of you know this, but for those who don't, NONE of these players are on scholarship in the summer, that's D-IAA, so there here on there own will and parents dime!

loloman,
I did attend both 7 and 7 Monday and Wednesday. Monday there were 55 Players, OL/DL. Wednesday 30 Players were at practice. Team is looking ok. I saw Dalis Bruce, D. Wiggiins, working their routes, more Speed Burners.

Was kind of disappointed Wednesday there was one OL Player (Cassidy Curtis) at the practice, however, they did practice for a while, two QBs were there Vernon Adams/Anthony Vitto, Kyle Padron was not there. Wednesday we left about 6:30pm, players were still working out. Spoke with Dalis Bruce, D. Wiggins, Shaq Hill, Anthony King. All the new additions are happy with the workouts. Most of the Recruits stil are not in practices. Monday Pulu Brothers were at practice, Jordan, Andru younger, stated he is about 250 lbs. :notworthy:

Dalis Bruce is another Speed Burner along with Cooper Kupp, Shaq Hill. Aug 30th is around the corner, we will be going to EWU/Idaho game, which is a Thursday Game. WSU I will stay home and watch the game on TV. We probarbly get the "Bob Uker Seats", in the nose bleed section. p. s. Men Basketball are now finished with their practices until Sept 1st. Those Young Men are looking GREAT. Good Morning. Vic

To All,
Just to let you know, the 6'1" 290 Player, I saw him on Monday, he looks great, seems like he is very solid, not is yet fat. :notworthy: There are three Players that were not in as of Monday. Coach introduced myself and daughter to the new Players. I think we are going to have an outstanding team, all of he players can jump and dunk the

The team will be heading for Canada, they will be playing some games in that area. Vic

To All Interested,
Will be attending the 7 on 7 today, about 5:30pm. Hope we have another big turn out. Need to find out how many of the Players are "Coming To Dinner". Ribs are done, Collard Greens are on the range right now. Mac & Cheese will be ready later today, Catfish will be done on Tuesday, before the arrival of the Players.

Close your mouths, and stop licking your lips. :notworthy: I am even getting hungry typing about the dinner. :thumb:

Forgot to mention, one individual told me about 2 weeks ago, the plans for the Scoreboard was being drawn up. He told me once it is approved, it will take about 30 days to get everything going. This person is in the know about all plans for the University. clawman: Any thing about the Idaho FB Tickets as yet? Will bring. Hope to see you at some of the practices, so we can wrap up loose ends. Good Morning. Vic

That sounds awfully good Vic! Thank you for supporting the team and their appetites! As a by-prodouct, It also brings them closer together as a team.

Who are we playing against in the 7 on 7's, since we play both Idaho and WSU this fall? Also, where are the 7 on 7's being played... here in Spokane?

SE174,
The Players are doing 7 on 7 against themselves right now, at Roos Field. Will find out today if they have plans on playing any other University 7 on 7. Vic

The last practice is Wednesday. I think today was the last 7 on 7. Two a days start next week. :D

loloman,
Some of the Players will be here soon, will check on 7 on 7. Spoke to Jeff Minnerly yesterday, he stated that they have an extra few days off, and they are going home early. They will not play Idaho or WSU 7 on 7 since they are on our schedule to play each other. Tell Todd he is going to miss some geat grub, the Players should be here about 5 pm for dinner.

I anticipate about 25 Players for dinner, everything is ready for when they arrive. I think the last 7 on 7 was Monday, because some of the Players left for home already. Anthony Vitto supposed to have caught his flight at 11am this morning for California. Players will be back Aug 7th and 8th. Hope they all have a great vacation, come back, get ready to take on any and all Teams. Heard Mario Brown had surgery and is recovering, he had a hernia. Take care. Vic

Vic,

Thank you for feeding the boys today. Hope it went off well. The menu sounded wonderful..wish I wasn't in Seattle..... going to try and see a practice or two next week on the way to Lake Sacheen for a few days. Hope to see you....maybe with some of those left over ribs.

Lolo

loloman,
Everything went well, the Players ate everything that was prepared for them. :notworthy: I really enjoyed having them here. FYI Ribs are all gone, Catfish all gone, Mac & Cheese one dish lift, three were made. Kyle Padron, Zach Johnson, Brandon Kaufman, Cory Mitchell, Vernon Adams, Shane Stagg, Nick Edwards, Greg Heard, Jeff Minnerly, Tyler Washburn, Allan Brown, Ashton Miller, to name a few Players that came. There were approximately 20 that showed.

I crashed after they left for about three hours, it was worth every minute I spent preparing for them. :notworthy: :thumb: These are a great bunch of young men. There parents can be very proud of them. They spent about two hours here with myself and family. Hope to see at some of the practices. Take care. Vic

Good on ya Vic. You are the man! :notworthy:

I will second that! :notworthy: :notworthy: :thumb: :thumb:

My son came home for the few days off and will try to gain the 7 pounds that he needs to by Tuesday...I know that I could certainly give him a few.

Will be over there next Thursday, so will check on the practice schedule to see if we can see some of the boys doing their thing. Gotta love August...because it starts smelling like pigskins.
