8-3 Non Conf & 3-1 instate?

So is 8-3 an acceptable non conference record with losses @ St. Mary's, @ Provo, and @ Cal ? 3 DAMN good teams. And if you don't think those 3 are Damn good then you don't know crap about bball.

How about 3-1 in the instate games?
When was the last time WSU even went 3-1 instate?
I support Randy Rahe, and I support this team!

I'll take it. On a normal night and healthy team who knows what could have happened in provo and @ Cal. We beat a team last night by 20 who lost in Logan by 3 with Jardine, with 2 injured starters out and our 2nd leading scorer not taking a shot.

I'll take it but I really would have liked to get one of those 3. After watching the season unfold, we really could have gotten St. Mary's. We're still on our way to a 25+ win season as long as they remember that they will have to play with a chip on their shoulders EVERY game, I don't care if it's UC Irvine or Sac State. If we do, we'll do some damage in the NCAAs.

Before the seaso started I predicted an 8-3 record before conf started, with losses to SMC, BYU and Cal, And I still stand by that.

I'm with ya Wildcat...before the season started I was talking to catdbagcat about the OOC and he and I both thought, realistically, the best OOC record would be 9-2, but most likely, 8-3. I just thought the losses would be closer. Oh well...

I wish the losses were closer too, mostly the Happy Valley U game

Who wouldn't be happy with that? Can anyone remember the last time they went into Big Sky play with that high of a win percentage?

:roll:Hawks, how can you claim you are happy with 8-3 when you are constantly ripping on this team and coaching staff? Look Knucklehead figure out which side of this equation you are on. You cant be happy AND be pissed off at the same time.
In general I don't have a problem with people that work in the media, but this Hawks guy is worse than a used car salesman.

I'm always happy and mad at the same time, especially when it concerns my sports teams.

Weber is winning, but they still have a lot to work on, and if the Southern Utah game is any indication, they are beginning to work out the kinks

I agree, WILDCAT.

I see improvements, but I want more. We relied on Bull too much, for rebounding. Then, when he goes down, it hurts us all the more. I think my frustration is that rebounding is not really an athletic thing. It's a desire thing. So, when I see big, strong guys not getting rebounds, I have a problem with it. I know that the coaches do as well. There is a direct relationship from rebounding to winning. It is, obviously, not the only thing, but it is a huge thing.

Here is how I would rank things in a winning formula:

Defense
Rebounding
Freethrow shooting
Shooting

Does not mean you are a good fan either. I bet they aren't very greatful to those fans that are negative 75% of the time.

Can you guys seriously lay off the man? He only got negative when we got blown out by an instate rival when our guys were more than capable of giving them a good game. Let's see if you guys can go 1 day without hating loyal fans. Weber doesn't need us to be driving people away from Weber State athletics.
