#9 EWU @ Weber State

Funny to say but Weber's best player so far this season has been their punter. Epperson doubles as punter and safety. He leads the nation in punting and is second on the team in tackles with 19 and has one interception, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble on the year. Okwuonu has been solid on defense as well.

Offense has been very unimpressive thus far, especially in the first half. Weber has been outscored 59-3 in the first half this season. Hoke has been bad and he just lost last year's favorite target Kehano for the year to a broken leg.

for years idaho state's best player has been its punter. i dont like what this trend means....i am still hopeful for a successful season but these first 4 are brutal.

I couldn't help but post this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kowv6l2CBD0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yikes. Sorry to hear. :?

I was hunting with my father over the weekend keeping tabs on the game, All I got from it was we have no offense and no defense, I wasnt there, maybe McNeese was just that good, I dont know, but the sad part is thanks to those 2 FBS games this year we have to win 7 of our last 8 just to be eligible for the playoffs :ohno:

So what has to happen for WSU to have a chance to win this game?
EWU gets food poisoning the night before? :-D
Their QB and WR's all go out to the strip clubs and "make it rain" all night friday, :bananahump: :flash: :bananahump: :butt:
or WSU to play the best game of their collective lives Saturday?

Well sadly I don't see any of the above happening so I have to pick
EWU 40 something
WSU 20 something

:ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Since there are no other college games in the market will there be pretty good fan turnout? Will there be any difficulty getting a ticket?

They have strip clubs in Utah?

I wouldn't give up on your team just yet. The first two games were difficult ones against FBS teams and then a very good McNeese squad. albeit I thought the score in that one would be a little closer playing at home.

Likewise, EWU has only played @ Idaho and @ WSU, so I think this game will be a good indication of where both teams are at this point. Nothing quite like the conference opener for that. I obviously hope we come away with a win, but I wouldn't surprise me to see this turn out to be a close game...they usually are.

I came away from this one encouraged. We out played them in the second half. We shot ourselves in the foot several times in the first half or it could have been a much different outcome. EWU has a really good team and a great quarterback. We let that QB scramble for big yardage several times in the first half by missing tackles and not keeping a middle linebacker in the hole.

All in all, this could be a turning point in our season. :thumb: :thumb:

Good game, Wildcats. Was nervous the whole 4th Q. I think losing our stud LB Zach Johnson had a pretty negative affect on our defense. You guys gashed us. Good luck the rest of the way.

That makes 3 of the last 5 games in the series Weber has lost to the Eagles on a fumble on a game winning drive 2008, 2011, and now 2012

This is getting old.

Congrats to the Eagles for making a play, if that fumble doesnt happen Weber wins, they had the momentum.
