Has anyone else noticed that since Dontay Bassett began starting and playing significant minutes how much better our offense is. Averaging about 90 points a game during this time. Having him as a real scoring threat inside and outside has really opened up the shots from our backcourt. And besides that, he is a huge force defending the basket. I just wonder why it took Rahe so long to start playing him. I have read that maybe he was really out-of-shape or maybe he was recovering from an injury. Can anyone shed any light on this?

From what I have heard it was an injury. I agree though, it has been great having him back. Now if we can get a someone to come in that can give us good mins when he's not on the court. Kozak or Nzekwesi should be given a chance. Tew has a lot of potential, but right now isn't getting it done. Randy needs a realistic 5 available to backup Bassett. 5-10 mins is all the Cats need.

Question:
What is the correct pronunciation of Basset?

Basset as in Basset hound?

Or

Basset as in Bass-et (bass like the fish and et like et al)?
I have heard it both ways in the media.
