A Late "Congratulations" From Corvallis

Hi Hornets Fans,

I was listening to the radio broadcast of my Beavs playing Sac. State again, and through the gut-twisting I felt, I wondered if many people gave you guys the credit you deserve. Everyone here (including me) was thinking "ugh, how can we lose to Sacramento State?! Long season ahead." And while it has certainly been a long season, the fact remains that your team came up to Corvallis and smacked us around.

A common sentiment has been "we played no pass defense", but I don't think it's that simple. Fleming made some great passes and athletic plays to avoid sacks, and your receivers made some awesome catches. Credit to them. The team also came through in the clutch and won it on a 2-pt conversion in overtime, and that's pretty damn balla

So while I wish it had gone differently, I wanted to extend some (belated) congratulations to the Hornets from Beaver Nation. Congrats!

Thx, it was a huge win for the program. Unfortunately injuries have killed us the second half of our season and our record isn't indicative of the talent we had on the field the beginning of the September

Thanks scotty. The OSU game turned out to be one of the few high points in the season. This Hornet team played at the level for maybe one other week (Montana) for the rest of the season.

Thanks Scotty, it was a nice W, but truthfully, I would trade it for a L if we had a 8-2 record right now.
