....I listened to Kramer after Saturday's game....(and I'm paraphrasing here)...votb asked him about recruiting ...Kramer said with so many players coming back....he would be looking for 3 positions ....then I think he said "we are looking for ONE WR, ONE DL and ONE "something else".....and we'd pick up a QB if we found a good one.....but I'm confused.....with the way injuries take their toll on our team.... he doesn't really mean he is only going for ONE player at each of those spots.....correct ?....doesn't he really mean 2 or 3 recruits at those spots that need depth....and then let the "competition begin ".....did anyone else listen to that interview ?....tell me what you heard and help me with my confusion.......thanks in advance.....

Can you tell me if there is a place I can find that interview, I would like to listen to it if it's still available

He said the same thing to me on the coaches show Wednesday night, November 16.

He said he already has seven or eight guys on campus who weren't playing this year and that his assistant coaches were basically going to stick around, work with them, including academically and get them ready for next season.

I don't think Mike is just going to recruit / sign three new players but he considers that seven or so guys he has on-campus part of the next group, so the overall recruiting class from a number standpoint may be small.

But things change so we'll see.

I would not worry so much who Kramer is going to recruit as his first objective is to give some scholarships to some of the walkons. The next step is to say good-bye to some of his current scholarship players that are not performing up to his expectations. Than you will be getting some of the current scholarship players that will be saying their good-byes to Kramer and the team as they will be moving on. That all should happen before the semester ends. Once that is over than Kramer will decide how many players he wants to sign and what are the current needs he has on the chalk board. I would imagine the assistant coaches will be on the road after Thanksgiving doing some recruiting.
